Alberta Culture Days 2014

Strathcona County


In recognition of Alberta Culture Days, the Arts & Culture Council of Strathcona County will be hosting a one-day event, featuring works by local artists and interactive activities. Come on down and try your hand at painting, writing, weaving, drumming, pottery and more!


Date: Saturday, September 27, 2012

Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Location: Centre in the Park, 401 Festival Lane, Sherwood Park.

Bring the family and spend the day discovering local arts and culture!

Activities:
  • Try the Pottery Wheel - led by Deborrah Hughes Gahr

  • Create Your Own Ink Painting - led by BarbaraCarle Kowalewski

  • Painting with Acrylics - led by Joyce Boyer

  • Make a Quilt Block - led by members of the Sherwood Park Quilt Guild

  • Traditional Drumming - led by Azure Music Studios

  • What's Your Story - led by members of the Writer's Foundation of Strathcona County

  • Weaving & Spinning - led by members of the Strathcona County Weavers

  • Aboriginal Dance - presented by Adrian Lachance 1:30 to 3:30
